Birthday Girl

Delaney turned 11 on Sunday. Happy Birthday to her and her cousin Declan, who turned 5 the same day. We celebrated by going snow tubing and then out to dinner at Margarita's. No pictures of tubing because I went too, but here are some from present and cake time.

Another awesome Shaw's cake:
Ooh, she likes it:
Early a.m. Hair still in the "web" required for cheering:

Cheering competition

Here are some pictures from Delaney's cheering competition on Saturday (they're severely cropped because I didn't want to post other girls' faces). Her team did really well and took third place in their division.

Some basketball pics

Here are some shots from the tournament Cam played in this week. As you can see, I messed with most of them because the color was so awful.

Me and 40: An uneasy truce

I turned 40 on Friday. I looked that *&#^*&#^ in the eye and said, "Bring it!" Here is a picture of me at 40: wrinkles and zits at the SAME time, gray hair (but yay for Clairol), an extra chin or three, and a fashion sense that's always about 10 years behind. I had to renew my license, and I realized that while I still have that donor sticker, it's doubtful anyone would take my organs any more.

On the other hand, at 40 I also have a family I love more than I can express and wonderful friends who do things like give me these lovely flowers:

And check out my beautiful cake from Chris, with photo taken by the awesome new lens he got me for my camera:

Yeah, 40's not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes and for making it the best birthday I've ever had!

Little Treasures

Don't you love when you occasionally find a roll of undeveloped film? You wonder what pictures are on it and when they were taken, and then you get a surprise when you get them developed. Here's a couple from a roll I picked up today. I think they're circa summer 2002.
