Graduation and last day of school

Cam graduated from 8th grade last night. Living in a small town with a K through 8 school makes for some very close ties with your friends after spending 9 years together with most of them. It's been kind of dusty in here. Sniff.

The last time Cam and Delaney will ride the bus together and Cam's last bus ride to Minot School:
On the day of graduation all the kids from all the classrooms K-7 line up outside their rooms and applaud the 8th graders as they make their last trip down the halls of the school together. Waaah! Delaney, Cam, and me after this:

The graduate:
Getting one of his awards. He got an academic leadership award, spelling bee winner award, and Community Club award:

The Great Forking of 2007. Their 8th grade prank, "forking" the schoolyard.
The boys responsible:
What greeted teachers, students, and staff on the last morning of school:
I love these boys
Some of the girls filled the school hallway with balloons, and then arrived to school this morning by tractor:
The principal's car. There's a camera pointing right at it, and she was sitting at her desk when she looked up at the monitor and came running out to chase them. She's awesome. She rocked out and sang Pat Benatar at the assembly this morning.

Happy Summer! Omigosh, I've got a high schooler and a middle schooler now! Cam and Laney won't be in school together again until he's a senior and she's a freshman. Waaaaah!
