What to do on a rainy day

It was rainy out, so I looked for something colorful, threw them on a white foam board, and busted out the macro lens:

Who's not sick of Baxter yet?

Sitting there looking all cute and innocent--such a lie-- he spent all morning asking to go in and out and in and out and in and out.But I just love this fuzzy nose.
And these furry toes.
And the way he loves me so much he can't stand to be more than 10 feet from me and follows me wherever I go.

More fun with Photoshop

I decided to give the blog a new pink look for now since Valentine's Day is coming up.

Another hair picture

This is how Cam looked when he got out of bed the other morning. I guess he still has a lot of hair left even after his haircut. The funniest part to me is that Chris's hair often looks exactly the same when he gets up.

Eggplant

I learned a new Photoshop technique--how to apply texture. Here's a before and after. And I have no idea how to cook/eat eggplant. I just bought it for a photo op.

Long weekend

Cam got an extra day off this week. It was midterm week and he finished early, so he got to stay home Friday while his poor little sister had to go to school. We got to relax and play a little of my favorite Wii game together. Of course he beats me every time, but I still have fun.

Happy Friday

Friday doesn't have the same excitement for me as it did years ago when I worked outside the house, but it's still a great day!

Words from a love song

This week's theme for the picture-of-the-day challenge I'm participating in is "words." These are my favorite words from one of my favorite dorky love songs.

Yay!

Probably should have posted this on Monday, but oh well. It's still exciting.

Some basketball shots

Delaney doing her thing at last week's school basketball game. Her team, which is made up of mostly sixth graders and only one eight grader, is doing well competing against a lot of bigger and more experienced girls. She's getting a lot of playing time and has learned so much.

DEW gets a new do

We let Delaney get her hair highlighted yesterday. It made her VERY happy.

Put-ing his way to the top

I almost forgot to post today. Here's Cam winning his shotput division in yesterday's track meet for the third week in a row.

Baxter in the snow

Remember in Bugs Bunny cartoons when you'd see him burrowing through the ground? That's what Baxter reminds me of after a big new snow:

Aaaah! He's coming to get me!
Awwww!

Delaney enjoying her day off from school:

Cam hasn't been getting the blog love lately. Go here and see the paragraph that says GOOD KNIGHT:

Laney

I don't think I've ever posted this photo of Laney before. I love it. Except that it's out of focus and that is very noticeable when I try to print it any larger.

Flowers in technicolor

Isn't the dye job on these funky? I got these at Shaw's yesterday.

Then I had some fun with Photoshop:

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to my awesome mother, who will probably be mad that I put her picture up again, but I love this picture and I love her. How can I be 40 years old and she's only 29? That's some weird math. I love you, mama!Happy Birthday also to my sweet sister-in-law Meaghan. She makes pretty babies. Love you too, Meaghan!
And because I said I was going to put up a picture of one of the kids. It counts--it's Delaney:

Ribbon Candy

Such pretty colors. I just realized I haven't taken a people picture in more than a week. I'll have to put one of the kids in tomorrow's post.
